Sunday October 4th the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost the sermon title is I’ll be back. The scripture is Colossians 1:15-20.

“I’ll be back,” is a quote from the futuristic movie, “Terminator.”

It was by a writer for the New York Times and addressed concerns expressed by Christopher Olah, one of the founders of an artificial intelligence company.

He is especially concerned about how to include morality in the growing artificial intelligence community. Formerly within the evangelical Christian community, he is no longer a Christian.
However, he has actively invited members of the religious community (many different faiths) to discuss the source of a morality for artificial intelligence.

I realize it is a difficult subject; but I intend to address the effort to draw from the religious community a morality. Mr. Olah is concerned about how dangerous A.I. could be without morality.
He could as easily have gone to the atheistic community for morality; instead, he has turned to those faiths that believe in a higher power.

Paul’s letter to the Church in Colossae is a perfect way to address the issue from a Christian standpoint.
